Privacy policy

A business connects Google Business Profile by signing in with Google or by having the JustBuild team enter credentials it provides. JustBuild requests the business.manage permission. When the business signs in with Google, we also receive basic profile information through the openid, email and profile permissions.

With that access, JustBuild reads and stores:

• The connected Google account's ID, name, email address and profile picture link.
• Business Profile accounts and locations: names, store codes, website, phone number and address.
• Reviews of those locations: the reviewer's display name, star rating, review text, dates and any existing owner reply.
• Replies written or approved in JustBuild, with who created them and when they were published.

We do not access the Google account's password, Gmail, contacts, Drive or any Google data outside Business Profile.

• To show the business its locations and reviews inside JustBuild.
• To publish replies to reviews on Google. A reply is published when someone in the business publishes it, or automatically if the business has turned on automatic replies.
• To refresh locations and reviews when someone in the business asks JustBuild to sync.

Google data is used only to provide these features to the business that connected it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with other businesses on JustBuild. JustBuild staff do not read it except to give support the business asks for, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires it.

If a business turns on AI replies, JustBuild sends a review's reviewer name, star rating and text, together with the business description and tone the business has entered, to the AI model provider JustBuild uses, only to draft a reply to that review. The business can review a draft before it is published if it chooses to.

JustBuild does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train AI or machine learning models.

• Data is stored in JustBuild's database on servers JustBuild operates, and travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Google access tokens, and any OAuth client secret provided to us, are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. They are never shown in the app or sent to the browser.
• Each business's data is kept separate, and only that business's users and JustBuild administrators can open it.

• Google data is kept while the business uses JustBuild's Google Business Profile features.
• Delete data, on the Google Business Profile page, removes the business's imported reviews and replies, its business context and the Google accounts it connected, and revokes JustBuild's access at Google.
• Disconnecting a Google account revokes JustBuild's access at Google and removes that connection.
• When a business's JustBuild organization is deleted, all of its Google data is deleted with it.
• Deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups for up to 14 days before the backups are removed.

You can also remove JustBuild's access yourself at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections page.

JustBuild's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
